#### Sign Up for the Student Developer Pack

- Visit the [GitHub Education benefits page](https://education.github.com/pack).
- Follow the instructions to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack.
- Wait for GitHub to approve your application. This process may take some time.

#### Activate the Free Month

- Log into Scrimba via your Github
- If GitHub recognizes your student status, the free one-month option will appear.
- Click on the lower left "UPGRADE" button.
- Select a subscription plan
- Your chosen plan with have a 30-day free trial period.
- **Note**: Please check on the checkout modal if there is note stating that you have a 30-day free trial. If this appears, your 30-day free access will be applied.

#### Troubleshooting

- Log back in will trigger a fresh request to verify your student status if it's not detecting it.
- Make sure your GitHub Student Developer Pack is active and correctly linked to your GitHub account.
